As part of an ongoing relationship with Wells Fargo Bank, RLS designed technology infrastructure for the company's 33-story downtown high-rise headquarters. Included within the project was an 8,000 square foot Data Center, network operation space, a large building MPOE housing one of Wells WAN nodes, and a Foreign Exchange Trading Floor with dedicated Server Room supporting over 80 traders.
Work on the Foreign Exchange Trading area included coordinating numerous trading solutions vendors (Blackrock, Bloomberg, Deutsche Bank, and Statestreet), assisting the project Architect, HO+K, with trading systems integration in conjunction with workspace furniture and layout, and integrating a satellite-based Television System.
We provided full design services, construction documents and detailed construction administration for each technology component. In addition, we provided extensive Technology Program Management services in both cases by attending and leading technology planning meetings, closely managing the project schedule, and by exercising critical path management within the technology program.
Additionally, we were able to expedite this fast-tracked project while creating the most cost-effective means for bidding. Instead of designing each floor individually, we prepared full bid documents which enabled the project to transition to design/build once the prototypical design for the first several floors had been established and validated.
