Interior Architects retained RLS to perform an electrical equipment noise analysis on the 9 th Floor of Barclays tenant improvements at Treat Tower in Walnut Creek. RLS’ effort was split into two parts. The first encompassed a review of the building’s current state and resulted in recommended changes to mitigate the present noise levels. During the second half, RLS returned to the site to examine the implementation of recommendations and perform acoustic testing to quantify current levels of transformer noise.
After the review, RLS provided final calculations and recommendations to ensure the electrical equipment met industry best practices. RLS’ observations and recommendations afforded Interior Architects and Barclays the ability to ease the excess noise emanating from electrical equipment, laying the groundwork for a world-class, acoustically sound tenant space.
