The New Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital Building is the primary trauma facility for the San Francisco metropolitan area. The new Hospital Building is 448,000 square feet, 9-story facility that incorporates the latest technology, diagnostic, and treatment equipment available.
Utilizing an Integrated Project Delivery approach consisting of a cooperative effort by the Architect, key technical consultants, the general contractor, and core subcontractors, the building was fully modeled and coordinated in 3D prior to the start of construction.
As the technology, audio-visual, and security systems core trade subcontractor’s coordination and design partner, RLS was also tapped to provide full design for a Converged Network hosting voice, data, video, medical, security, and building automation systems on a IP platform.
In conjunction with the network design, RLS also coordinated interoperability between all low voltage systems. Our purview extended to the following systems:
