Google provides fast, reliable services from Google Data Centers located around the globe. At the nucleus of each is the Central Campus Network Room (CCNR). Here, tens of thousands of fiber strands converge, providing rapid connectivity to all servers and systems across the data center campus. CCNRs are the “brain” behind all network equipment and internet connectivity at a given facility. These critical Data Centers are served by their own dedicated power plant, ensuring that Google’s more than 3 billion daily search queries and millions of real-time ad auctions occur impeccably at the consumer level.

Google retained RLS to develop design and documentation for Google’s Worldwide CCNR Facilities. Working with component manufacturers and contractors to create a unitized list of parts, RLS created a scalable computer model for all new CCNR builds. The design comprises a kit of parts that can be assembled like an erector set and scaled to fit any size CCNR. RLS’ design standards provide the backbone infrastructure for Google’s thousands of servers that provide a seamless experience for countless daily users.
