They have seen explosive growth since the launch of their first application in 2010, and require a robust technology platform to support their expansion into a new headquarters.

The new headquarters required a custom technology program solution, built to meet Square’s specific needs. Project requirements included the ability to reconfigure spaces to suit changing needs “on the fly” and heavy bandwidth requirements for employees using mobile devices, RLS provided a full technology upgrade solution, encompassing infrastructure, AV systems, and building security systems. To suit these needs a miniature “Zone Distribution Facility”.
(ZDF) was designed to distribute the converged network services throughout the offices while minimizing the equipment footprint. The ZDF design allowed Square to support a very robust wireless network and enabled Square IT staff to reconfigure spaces quickly on an as needed basis without having to install any new wiring other than local station cabling.
The audiovisual systems featured a custom conference room scheduling application allowing employees to reserve conference rooms with at their desktop, with a mobile app, or while entering the conference room. A custom mount for the conference room scheduling panel was designed, and subsequently patented, by RLS for this solution.
