Flexibility was essential for the Technology and Design Center due to its varied uses and the Client’s desire for a facility that would accommodate future technologies. The Center includes the usual complement of music rooms, staff offices and conference rooms; as well as a computer lab, multi-purpose room, student lounge, theater, and cafeteria. There are also technical shops for wood, metal, electronics, glass, and theatrical sets. The Center was recognized at the American Institute of Architecture San Francisco 2004 Excellence in Design Awards for the Bay Area.
