War Memorial Veterans Building

After the various historic City buildings were damaged in the October 17, 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake, the City of San Francisco embarked upon a multimillion dollar refit and renovation program to upgrade and repair the damage.

The seismic repair and renovation work at the War Memorial Veterans Building was completed in 2015.  As part of this renovation, the technology, security, and audiovisual systems were upgraded. Acoustical repairs were also made to various portions of the Herbst Theater and other acoustically sensitive areas.
